Generate water from solar panels
Dan Diehl
A new startup out of Tempe, Arizona has commercialized a solar panel that pulls water out of the air to produce drinkable water for a building. Although the panels have a small solar photovoltaic panel integrated into them in order to be self powered, most of the panel absorbs sunlight that is used to suck moisture out of the air, even in an arid desert environment.
Seems like these types of panels might pair well with a home with solar panels and battery backup. Now you can have “solar water backup” too!
